At EY, the Risk Management (RM) team is responsible for the promotion and support of risk management within the business. RM's aim is to uphold our business standards, maintain and enhance the value of the firm, and ensure that the UK&I firm complies with the rules and regulations imposed either by external regulators or by EY Global in relation to the conduct of our business.

The UK Compliance Senior Manager role is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of compliance activity, aggregating data to identify possible trends and tracking the completion of actions following regulatory inspections.

Your Key Responsibilities:

You will cover both internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements including but not limited to auditor independence, financial crime, Lobbying Act reporting, Data protection and Health & safety, etc. We'll look to you to oversee and monitor all areas of compliance activity in the UK firm, as well as design and implement a compliance monitoring framework/dashboard to uncover and assess firm-wide risks by the aggregation of data to identify trends.

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • Experience in leading and oversight of compliance based activities.
  • Previous experience working at a senior management level within a large, matrix organisation.
  • Proven data analysis skills
  • Experience of working with regulators within a professional services environment.

Ideally you'll also have:

  • Knowledge of Assurance or other regulated activities
  • Effective planning and organising skills
  • Ability to establish a high degree of credibility, respect and trust at all levels, including with senior members of the firm.
  • Strong personal communication skills, capable of dealing with wide a range of people including regulators and the Firm's leadership.
  • Commercial awareness of the issues facing the business and the ability to deal with problems in a practical and common sense way.
